PART OF THE VILLAGE

First, a big thank you! I first heard about Choices Health Network (Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Ladysmith WI) when a public post was made in regards to their pregnancy and ultrasound clinic they were hosting at the Ladysmith location for expecting mothers and ultrasound techs in training to get practice.

I reached out in regards to scheduling an ultrasound February 24th, 2025 and the staff was very responsive. I was able to get an appointment scheduled right away. On the day of my ultrasound, I was given a crochet blanket on my way out and told about their parenting classes/ pregnancy classes as well as a point system with a boutique that was offered to expecting mothers in low income households or even those who just needed or wanted the help.

When I heard about the classes and the point system that went along with their ”store,” I was super intrigued and interested to learn more about what they had to offer.

I had my first parenting class April 9th, and it was by far the best experience I could have ever asked for. Not only was I receiving parenting lessons/help but I was also receiving benefits of clothing for my toddler, diapers, wipes, and baby furniture for the one on the way.

Choices Health Network has opened my knowledge on milestones for my child and things to expect in parenting as well as helped me feel more confident in my parenting

choices and techniques. I would truly like to thank those who donate to the boutique/store and make it possible for my children and others in the community to receive these items.

I also want to thank those who volunteer their time to teach and help new parents and even parents who want to do better for their kids by taking the classes specified on what they want to learn.

A common saying is “It takes a village” to raise and care for children, and I am beyond grateful to have Choices Health Network as a part of my village helping and supporting me along the way.
